Gold's long-term view: the next big high in November 2027
The short term is noisy and will likely stay that way. Our long-term reading is clear: ups and downs from here, and gold's next big high in November 2027.

Where gold and silver stand
Gold closed October about 30% below the record it set in late January 2026, after its worst week in months. Silver has fallen further, more than half from its own January peak. Higher oil prices, rising inflation expectations, the chance of another US rate hike and forced selling after a fall in technology shares have all weighed on the metals.
That is a lot of short-term pressure, and it explains why so many people are asking whether gold's best days are behind it. Our answer is no.
Our long-term view: the next big high in November 2027
The medium and long-term part of our model reads slower AstroPlanetary cycles, refreshed at the start of each month. These cycles move over months and years, not days, which is why we keep them separate from the short term.
Read on that slower clock, this autumn's fall is a correction inside a longer cycle, not the end of it. Our view is that gold's next big high comes in November 2027.
The path there will not be a straight line. We expect gold to have real ups and downs between now and then, with rallies that fade and dips that test patience. For long-term holders, those swings are part of the road, not a change of direction.
Why we would stay away from short-term investing this month
Our short-term reading is event-based and updated hourly, and November is crowded with events that can move gold sharply in either direction within a day: the US midterm elections, the October jobs report, fresh inflation data and the run-up to the Federal Reserve's December meeting.
In a month like this, short-term positions are mostly exposed to noise. Our view is to stay away from short-term investing in gold and silver during the current month and to keep the focus on the long-term picture.
What this means if you think in years
If your horizon is years rather than weeks, the swings of the coming months say little about where the long cycle is heading. Many long-term holders use periods like this to review their plan and avoid decisions made in a hurry.
Everyone's situation is different. If you are making a decision about your own money, speak to a qualified financial adviser.
